EXTERNAL: Gordon Research Biology of Mycobacteria conference | United States of America

The Biology of Mycobacteria GRC is a premier, international scientific conference based at Pomona in California. This conference will bring together scientists studying various aspects of mycobacterial physiology. Mycobacteria include pathogenic and non-pathogenic species that inhabit a variety of niches and have a significant impact on human and animal health. Additionally, phylogenetically related bacterial genera including Rhodococcus, Corynebacterium, and Streptomyces share numerous biochemical pathways with Mycobacterium, thus the characterization of novel pathways in any of these species could bolster our understanding of this highly environmentally and medically relevant order of bacteria. Our goal is to bring scientists from all areas of expertise, with a focus on biochemistry, molecular biology and genetics, but we will also appeal to researchers from the areas of chemistry and genomics.
